Essential Oil Glow Roller For Youthful Skin

Your skin is your biggest organ and it is permeable, meaning molecules can pass through it. In fact, dermal application is a key way many medications are administered. Given this fact of permeability, the products we use and their ingredients are extremely important. I don’t know about you, but I’m not willing to risk my health and cellular health over a cotton-candy-coloured and scented face cream. Are you with me? So let me show you how to promote youthful skin with my DIY essential oil glow roller.

Skin & Essential Oils

Due to constituents with anti-inflammatory, skin cell regeneration, and wound healing properties, many essential oils are beneficial for the skin. The thing about younger, better looking skin isn’t necessarily that there aren’t wrinkles. Skin that is resilient, hydrated, blemish-free, toned, and elastic looks better than skin that is not. These factors contribute to its appearance. Hydration, sun care, nutrition, skin care routines all contribute to the appearance of skin.

Good Skin Starts From Within

Taking care of the skin, science shows, involves many different aspects and nutrition is a key part of it. My skin care routine includes Vitamin C, which builds collagen in the body, which is used to develop and maintain healthy connective tissue formation, wound healing, healthy bones, cartilage, teeth and/or gums. My favourite Vitamin C supplement is called Super C.

MSM, or methylsulfonylmethane, is also a naturally occurring compound that promotes healthy hair, skin, and nails. Studies show that MSM significantly improved skin firmness over 8 weeks, significantly reduce skin wrinkles and lines.  My favourite MSM supplement is called Sulfurzyme, which has only 2 ingredients: MSM & the Ningxia wolfberry (goji berry). Bonus fact about MSM: it also reduces osteoarthritis pain!

Skin Care Routine

What you use on your skin matters because what you put on your body goes into your body. I personally have combination skin and struggle with acne as a result of other health conditions, so I find that I often have to switch up my personal care products in order to keep my skin healthy. I still choose to treat my skin with plant-based products and opt out of products that use harsh ingredients.
